The Wychwood Solace Big Pit offers an impressive 4.8:1 retrieve ratio – ensuring that this is a high torque reel which is more than capable of a rapid retrieve in even the most difficult of situations. The drive gear in the reel has been constructed from a high strength material, which ensures that the gearing system can withstand even the most aggressive of opponents. No less than 11 stainless steel bearings ensure that this drive and retrieve is smooth and a dream to use, as well as ensuring that this reel is incredibly corrosion resistant and hardwearing.
The Wychwood Solace Big Pit 65FS has been fitted with a classic big pit spool. This ensures that that reel can hold enough line to comfortably hit out to the furthest features that you want to target. The reel is also supplied with a spare aluminium spool as standard – perfect for the angler who likes to be completely prepared on the bank. Both of the spools have been fitted with Wychwood’s innovative ACS line clip. This unique system ensures that no damage is sustained to your line whilst still allowing you to fish with complete accuracy – no matter your preference of line type. To finish the reel, Wychwood has fitted the Solace Big Pit with a soft grip folding handle to ensure it is easy to transport in any luggage system and is comfortable to use no matter the conditions.
