The 1000 size reel is small and lightweight and allows the angler to hold the reel all day and impart lifelike actions in the chosen lure by moving the rod easily and efficiently. The Advanta FD1000 Dropshot and Jig reel features a preloaded spool meaning its ready to fish straight from the box. The thin braided line used to load the spool is the correct breaking strain and diameter to complement the ultra-lightweight rods associated with this style of angling. The Advanta FD1000 Dropshot and Jig reel uses a 4+1 ball bearing construction, Aluminium spool, balanced rotor and interchangeable handle.

Featuring 4+1 high quality ball bearings, this Advanta Spinning Reel will run smoothly time after time, ensuring you are able to retrieve your lure exactly as intended. Advanta have used a double colour forged aluminium spool combined with a lightweight high tensile strength body on this spinning reel to not only keep the fishing reel light in the hand, but also incredibly strong and durable. Despite its small size, there is plenty of winding power in this reel for playing large predators such as pike, thanks to the inclusion of an internal power drive gear for added winding power.
To ensure that this Advanta Spinning Reel is ready to fish straight from the box, Advanta have preloaded this spinning reel with 0.12mm Hi Viz Yellow Braid. This thin braided line used to load the spool of this Advanta Spinning Reel has been specially chosen to match the correct breaking strain and diameter to complement the ultra-lightweight spinning rods associated with dropshot and jig fishing. Also the yellow colour of the braided fishing line, makes it clearly visible in all light conditions, allowing you to see and react to bites more easily.
