Advanta Protector 2 Man Bivvy

The Protector is Advanta’s flagship long-stay bivvy range. Designed to keep the long session carp angler completely protected from the worst of the elements, this is a bivvy range which has been designed to excel in all climates – whether you’re fishing out on a hot European summer's, night or you’re hunkered down in the depths of a British winter. This is the two man version of the classic bivvy and it has been built to give the discerning angler plenty of room in which to store all their gear.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Advanta Protector Two Man Bivvy is its lightweight, two rib pole structure. These poles have been manufactured from top class 6061 aluminium material, which is most often used in aerospace engineering. This ensures that the bivvy is exceptionally rigid, and able to withstand the worst of the wind, whilst also remaining light enough to be easily transportable when you’re barrowing to and from your swim. The bivvy material itself is manufactured from 210D nylon. This boasts an impressive hydrostatic head rating of 5000, which is supremely waterproof and can withstand even the most intense of UK downpours. Heavy duty tension straps and reinforced tensioned pegging points ensure that, once set up, this bivvy is going nowhere until you decide to take it down again and this bivvy is the ultimate bad-weather shelter.

However, this bivvy isn’t only perfect for the colder angling seasons; it has impressive all-round credentials. The front panel of the Advanta Protector Two Man is completely removable, which is perfect for those steamy days when you want to transform your bivvy into an open fronted shelter system. It is also fitted with twin mosquito panels, as well as offering a mosquito door. This allows you to protect yourself from all manner of bankside nasties whilst still enjoying a cooling breeze through your shelter – after all, you don’t want to receive bites from all of the creatures on the bank, only the ones in the water! Rear mosquito vents ensure that this cooling breeze can pass through the entirety of the bivvy, to keep you comfortable on the bank in even the hottest weather conditions.

The bivvy is fitted with two Velcro rod straps on either side of the front door. These are ideal to ensure the safe storage of your carp fishing rods whilst you’re re-arranging your rig between takes or you’re changing your terminal tackle setup in order to try a new tactic on the bank. These ensure that you never have to precariously balance your rods on the sides of your bivvy –potentially causing damage to your bivvy, your rods, or yourself should a strong wind pickup unexpectedly!

With dimensions of 150cm x 313cm x 277cm, this bivvy can more than comfortably accommodate two bedchairs whilst still offering ample storage space for all your additional gear.
