The Advanta FD Surf 8000 reel is built to withstand the rigours of sea fishing and the harsh saltwater environment. The reel uses an ultra-strong but lightweight body to reduce unnecessary weight. The reduced weight means casting long distance is made easier and more accurate by increasing the speed of the rod during the cast and reducing wobble associated with heavy reels. The Advanta Surf reel features a quick drag system, super slow oscillation for improved line lay and a 6+1 Stainless steel ball bearing construction. The internal gears are made using the highest quality saltwater proof materials and are built around a strong stainless steel worm shaft gear structure to ensure maximum winding power when playing fish or retrieving rigs from long distances. The reel is supplied with both deep and shallow spools for use with traditional mono line where the spool requires more capacity and a shallow spool for use with low diameter braided lines.
