Description

Browning is a Germany brand that has long been associated with match fishing triumph and the brand's core concern is the making of champion anglers through the creation of tackle that encourages success. Whether you are an experienced match angler, even the champion anglers rely on luck of the draw sometimes, if you draw a poor peg it's better to back yourself with the best gear around and there are not many better than Browning.

This Browning Black Viper III Rod comes in a range of lengths and casting weights so you can tailor a rod that best suits your carping needs. The 12ft (3.6m) version is ideal for casting distances up to 60m. With the specified casting weight of 80g, you can easily catapult out fully filled 60g cage feeders. This length is very popular for bream anglers but also makes it a comfortable tool to use when fishing commercial fisheries where a bit of distance work is needed.

There are then two 13ft rods, one with 100g casting weight, the other 140g. The 13ft is a perfect combination of strength and sensitivity in one rod The 100g rod is suitable for casting distances up to 90m and offers a sensitive, soft action in the last third of the rod. The ideal rod for small to large bream. The 140g version is an absolute workhorse with large reserves. Browning fishing experts suggest that the 13ft (3.9m) rods can be accelerated faster than the longer 14ft rods with a casting distance up to 90m.

The last Black Viper option is the 14ft rod. This comes again in two casting weight options of 120g and 160g. The 120g action is the perfect long-cast rod on still waters, or for river fishing in medium currents. The 160g casting weight rod also masters strong currents and heavier casting weights without any problems.

All the variations in Viper III rods are designed to cover most mid-long distance fishing but still retain enough action to reduce hook pulls. The black viper is also fitted with 3.5mm diameter tips which are 65cm long and fully compatible with previous version tips of the first and second generation of Viper rods. The quivertips are incredibly bright so you won’t have any trouble spotting them even in poorer light conditions. Browning rods always have lots of colour on them, as this is what is popular across Europe.

The blanks feel much crisper and recover faster than the previous models. They snap back straight after the cast allowing for maximum distance to be achieved. The rods also benefit from excellent Fuji guides and quality reel seats to give the overall build a great foundation.

For rods that perform well and are cosmetically stunning, look no further than Browning, third-generation Viper rods.
