Century has been producing top of the range of fishing products for over 30 years. Century seeks to enhance the escapism of sitting on the bank or in a boat, the peace of the angler being at one with the water, at one with nature, and at one with the fish. The ability to go fishing is the ability to change everyday routines, transform the ordinary into something exciting, and Century believes there is no better thrill than watching your rod begin to arch with a catch. Quality tackle, therefore, directly equates with the ability to escape from the everyday.
The C2 MK2 is a command and control rod from Century that comes in a wide choice of models available to suit any requirement that you may need to suit your angling style. The rods are made from a high-performance resin system which in turn creates lighter blanks whilst still providing strength, toughness and superior playing actions for carping.
Century has also used autoclave technology on the C2 MK2 for long-life performance retention and given it a 1k-1k carbon outer weave from butt to the top of the tip. The rod also boasts its strength with the Century Carbon 1k-1k reel seat that has matt black metal hoods.
The Century C2 MK2 Command & Control Rod is designed for lightness as well as featuring the latest generation inspiring looks. The rod sports a black screen printed logos on the blank and is sealed with custom PTFE or silicone low scratch matt finish.
The rods also feature Century Titanium Gunsmoke SiC guides and is available in 12ft and 13ft lengths. The 12-foot rod comes in two different test curves. The 12ft 3.25lb can benefit anglers looking to cast slightly heavier such as 3.50oz leads and deliver a bit of extra distance on both small and medium-size lakes while still maintaining the famed C2 playing action.
The 12ft 3.50lb provides an all-round capability in that the casting performance is higher than previous models and so can cover both medium and larger lakes and suits leads in the 3-4oz range and small PVA bags. The 13ft has a 3.50lb test curve which is great on venues with rocky line destroying ground where tip height is important.
This rod is impressive in both performance and cosmetics and a worthy consideration for carp anglers.
