Century Ng Rods
The Century NG carp rod series has been around since the late 1990s, when the brand first became involved with Frank Warwick. Frank is a carp angling legend famous for his distance casting ability and the original Century NG was developed in close conjunction with the man himself. The rod has since achieved a cult status and over the decades the Century team has kept a close eye on the rod. With the birth of countless new technologies, some which were inconceivable to the designers of the original Century NG team, Century has decided to revisit the rod.
The brand new Century NG benefits from the kind of technological advances that the original rod couldn’t have even dreamed of. The greatest of these advances is Century’s autoclave system. This is a curing system that occurs during the production process that works towards eliminating test curve decay throughout the lifespan of the rod. In other words, the Century NG will showcase the same impressive test curve after a decade of use as it does on the day of purchase.
This isn’t the only impressive new technology that the new Century NG rod benefits from. ATT is Century’s anti-twist technology that ensures that rod has incredible resistance to torque. This system involves winding fine carbon fibres around the rod, pre-preg, and it dramatically improves the ring alignment during our cast. This ensures that you’re able to cast out to impressive distances and this rod has been purpose designed for use on mid to intermediate sized waters.
Boasting 2K carbon weave up the reel seat and 1K weave to the first ring, this rod has impressive strength and power building potential. A stainless steel butt stop eliminates the risk of your rod being pulled from your buzz bars or rod pod after a dramatic take – even when you’re fishing a snaggy swim. The whole rod is finished with 40mm Fuji SiC guides and a silicone matt coating that ensures this rod will look scratch free even after a decade of use.
