First Impressions… This is a good idea, a net that folds down to a sensible size and will fit into the boot of even the smallest of cars.
The obvious advantage is for anglers who want to put in quick stalking sessions after work and just throw a few odds and ends in the back of their car.
It would also be useful if you are going on holiday and you want to sneak a crafty bit of tackle in your car without the missus kicking off.
When packed away it only measures 42 inches.
The two-piece handle is made from a very strong carbon composite, giving you strength and lightness. The spreader block is also made from a carbon composite, which is extremely strong. The weed-green mesh is deep and soft to help protect the carp.
The Review… "I was asked to test the Specialist Plus net when it arrived in the office. Typically, I am lucky enough to get out on the bank at least once, if not twice or more, in a week, so I was sure that I would be able to put it through its paces.
"On first inspection I was quick to notice just how light it was. The 42in mesh net, spreader block and two-piece carbon-composite poles all fit neatly and compactly in the supplied stink bag.
"I particularly like the two-piece pole system, which is great for when I’m out on the boat or in a tight swim and only require a short reach. However, having the extra pole and the complete 6ft reach is invaluable for when I am playing in fish from the bank or, particularly, when I’m employing zig rigs.
"The mesh itself is a deep weed-green, fish-friendly variety that is very quick to dry when left out in the open. The spreader block is a lightweight, strong, plastic variety that the glass arms seamlessly slip into without too much stress but with enough resistance that they won’t detach when in use.
"This is a great net and I will definitely be trying to get my hands on one to keep."
