These Shakespeare rods are made from an high modulus carbon fibre rod blank which gives the rod an incredible action, with plenty of power in the butt section to land large fish, but enough softness in the tip to prevent hook pulls and absorb runs from fish. Shakespeare have used high quality guides on these fishing rods so that your fishing line can flow freely through, making casting effortless. A screw down reel seat has been used on these Shakespeare rods which allows you to use a wide range of fishing reels so you can use the reel that suits you.
As a sign of top quality, these Shakespeare rods are finished off with Cork/EVA handles that ensure comfort when casting and playing fish. This Shakespeare Challenge XT Specialist Rod is 10ft in length with a 2 piece design that makes transport easy in either fishing rod sleeves or ready rod bags.
