Cotgrave Angling Club is committed to creating a safer, more accessible and sustainable fishery that can be enjoyed by anglers of all ages and abilities. The project will focus on repairing existing infrastructure, improving facilities and supporting the long-term development of the fishery through planned fish stocking and community-focused activities.
The improvements will help create a welcoming environment for beginners, junior anglers and disabled participants, while also supporting free fishing events designed to introduce more people to the sport. By investing in accessibility and participation, the club hopes to build a stronger local angling community and ensure that more people have the opportunity to experience the enjoyment and wellbeing benefits of fishing.

As one of the region's longest-established angling organisations, Nottingham Piscatorial Society continues to invest in improving opportunities for anglers while protecting the future of its fisheries. This project focuses on improving access and safety at Bridge Lake through the installation of new fishing platforms and upgraded pathways.
These improvements will make it easier for anglers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the venue, particularly those who may currently face barriers to participation. By creating a more accessible and welcoming environment, the society aims to encourage greater involvement in the sport while ensuring the fishery remains a valuable community asset for years to come.
