Nothing, that is, apart from fishing the Trent & Mersey with tackle, and top-quality local knowledge and advice, from the leading fishing retail force behind Angling Direct, who are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of their new Stoke store on Saturday, January 27th, running all day from 8am-6pm – giving you time to pop in and pick up some bait on your way to an early morning session, or call in while your other half's busy with the weekly grocery shop.

What's Happening?
On 27th January 2018, Angling Direct will be packing out the 5,000sqft of our Stoke store with over 8,500 product lines, mixing established high-performance brands with dynamic young newcomers to the angling scene to give you a wealth of choice, including over 200 rods, more than 200 reels, and a huge range of sleeping bags, a packed barrow section, and a stand-out display of seatboxes, as well as all the other angling accessories and essentials you'd expect from a premier retailer, from lures to luggage, clothing to cookware. We stock fresh bait, too, including the casters that the canal fish love, and liquid additives to jazz up the bread that makes a great hookbait for this area's piscatorial residents.
But we're not just showcasing our stock. Here at Angling Direct, we're all about the personal touch, and that's why we've got a raft of professional anglers attending on the 27th, giving you a chance to get up close and personal with some of the best in the business, picking up tips, tricks, and ideas.

On January 27th, the Angling Direct Stoke store will be welcoming several quality anglers to our grand opening. Names confirmed so far include Iain MacMillan, from Shimano, Kev Hewitt, who consults for ESP and CCMoore, Lee Morris of Fox, and Nash's Simon Crow, as well as Angling Direct's Hassan Khan, and carpy commentator Martin Clarke, who'll be signing his books.
Just as we do through our product ranges, which cater for carp angling, coarse and match, sea fishing, fly fishing, predator and specimen anglers, Angling Direct hope that the pro anglers we've got booked for the Stoke Grand Opening on January 27th represent the wide range of fishing needs, interests, and expertise going on in the city, and that anglers of all disciplines enjoy the day, and find someone they can relate to, and something that will help them achieve their angling ambitions.
