Hadlow College & Angling Direct Ashford

Hadlow College is a specialist land-based college situated in Kent that offers a huge range of different courses. Graded ‘outstanding’ at their latest inspection, they offer courses in Agriculture, Equine Management, Fisheries Management and much more. Within the Fishery side of the college they offer a variety of different level courses for 16-19 year olds, part time, Bachelor and Foundation degrees.

Hadlow’s Course Manager, James Wright, and Commercial Manager, Brian Bailey, are proud to be helping the next generation of fish farmers, fishery managers, and aquaculture specialists, ensuring that the UK’s fish species survive and thrive, and anglers of all disciplines can learn about, enjoy, and catch these stunning creatures for generations to come.

A full list of courses offered, along with a more detailed biography about the college can be found here.

Hadlow College and our Ashford branch, both work closely with the Ashford Angling Society, so creating a partnership between the two seemed logical and mutually beneficial. With these types of courses already attracting young and aspirational anglers, we are extremely happy to sponsor and support the College’s new and improved Fisheries department, suppling Advanta product, hoodies and tanks graphics.

ADTV, our YouTube fishing channel, intend to complete several filming projects at Hadlow College early next year, which will hopefully capture spawning and some interesting behind the scenes footage.

Hadlow College are proud to work with over twenty water bodies around the South East, as well as their very own award-winning fishery, stock ponds, commercial hatchery, and operational fish farm. This gives plenty of opportunity for us to work together to bring the public some interesting, educational, and engaging videos. So, watch this space…

Both Angling Direct and Hadlow College are working towards producing a brighter future for fishing by educating the next generation of fish farmers, fishery managers, and aquaculture specialists of the future to ensure the UK is a world-leader in clean, safe and well run fisheries. While gaining our support to provide equipment for successful fishing at all levels, and across all disciplines, as well as actively working in the community to get more people involved in the sport.

A big thank you to Brian Bailey, Commercial Fisheries Manager at Hadlow College, for taking the time to help set up this link with ourselves and we look forward to returning to the college with filming equipment in the new year!
