You’ll probably have heard by now that King of the Catch 2016 is back and it’s bigger than ever! With over £25,000 worth of prizes on offer for anglers across the disciplines you won’t want to miss out. What’s more, it’s completely free to enter! First place prize for anglers in our carp fishing category is a carp fishing holiday for two to Canada. Fully hosted by the Canadian Carping guide team, this trip takes you onto the breathtaking St Lawrence River to tackle some of the biggest common and mirror carp that Canada has to offer.

Canadian Carping is the leading carp guiding service in Canada and they have joined ranks with the amazing Sportsquest team to deliver an unbeatable carp fishing experience. The carp that inhabit the St Lawrence are some of the biggest and hardest fighting carp in the world – once you’ve had a take from one of these bad boys and felt the power through your rod you won’t look back! They make the UK’s most aggressive carp feel like pussy-cats in comparison. Your Canadian Carping guide will take you to the uninhabited islands and isolated bays down the river to get to the best swims, as well as taking you out on the boat to get right to the heart of the river action. On average, anglers can expect to land anywhere between six and 18 carp on each day of the trip.

When you’re not out on the boat or at a swim you’ll be spending you time in the beautiful River Rock House. Offering convenient access to hiking trails, local cultural sites, artisan markets, and with home cooked restaurant meals available on site, this luxurious accommodation will be the cherry on the top of your carp fishing cake.
