Sonik Xtractor Net - Tackle Tuesday

Any carp angler knows that an important piece of tackle that is worth investing in is a strong, reliable net. Carp fishing nets are defined by their triangular shape with their long arms, wide gape, deep mesh, and long handle. A combination of these features will usually lead you to a top-quality net, which will be more than capable of landing your next personal best carp and each element is absolutely integral to the landing of your catch.

The Xtractor landing net from Sonik is built to perform. The fishing net features a stiff telescopic 2-piece handle with fittings that are glued and pinned for ultimate reliability. The length of the handle can reach 1.86m, giving you a further reach across weeds to collect your catch.

One of the most important parts of a net is the spreader block as this is what supports the net and therefore the fish. Thankfully, Sonik built the Xtractor Net (T44) with a tough glass-filled Nylon spreader block that has a shaped cross brace for mesh retention, allowing quick net manoeuvre and smooth mesh release. The strength of the spreader block not only gives the angler confidence in supporting the weight of a fish but with fast movability too.

Mesh is another vital factor when it comes to choosing a carp net as this is what has direct contact with the delicate scales of a carp or specimen fish. The Sonik net is reinforced with an olive green, 42-inch mesh which consists of a free-flowing hex pattern on the sides and a super soft base mesh. Offering a generous depth of 95cm, the net mesh on the Xtractor strikes a perfect balance for temporarily holding fish and moving quickly through the water.

The Xtractor Net's Key Features:

  • (T44) Transport length 44 inches (127cm)
