The demand for Advanta products is huge – and it’s only getting bigger.

The demand for Advanta products is huge – and it’s only getting bigger. But then it’s very easy to see why: they offer brilliantly well-built products, at extremely competitive prices, and deliver them in a very fast and efficient way. This month sees this sub-brand of tackle shop behemoth Angling Direct drop a new bedchair which isn’t just friendly to your back but your wallet too.

The Big Questions

I hear this all the time: ‘our bed’s more comfy than such-and-such’… True, but the Advanta Endurance Six Leg Memory Foam Bedchair (that’s one hell of a product name, right?!) has a special secret: it combines extreme comfort (hence the headline) with one hell of a price tag.

Tell me about the comfort then. How comfortable is comfortable? Sublimely comfortable. This six-legged beast mixes a near lay-flat design with an extra thick, fleece-covered memory foam mattress. Just like the memory foam mattress on your bed at home, this too moulds to your body shape as you lay, ensuring no pockets of cold air are trapped between you and the mattress. Remember those days of waking up with a dead shoulder? Awful. No more though, as the luxury suede effect mattress surround stops all that. Damn it’s impressive!

Okay, I get it: it’s comfy! But what’s the build quality like? Really good. Want a strong but lightweight aluminium/steel frame? You’ve got it. Fully adjustable legs which feature Advanta’s positive Push and Lock Leg mechanism? Consider it done. Fully adjustable hand wheel so the bed goes from flat to sitting up like a guest chair. Check. It ticks all the right boxes… and then some more.

Such as…? Aside from having a large underside zipped wallet/valuables pocket and swivelling mud feet, that mega thick mattress we’ve been harking on about is completely removable. This not only means it’s easier for cleaning, but if weight suddenly becomes an issue and you want to travel lighter, you can strip back and go all Nigel Sharp on your pals.

How do the stats read? It looks like quite a big bed… For a bed which is made with such a strong, solid frame and equipped with one of the thickest mattresses we’ve had the pleasure of laying on, you’d expect the ‘total weight’ stat to read a lot higher than 12.2kg. Add to that it will support a whopping 200kg and you can see Advanta clearly weren’t playing when they created this brute. Overall size is impressive too: 213cm in length with 86cm across the shoulders.

How does this bed compare to competitors? Focusing on the three key areas of a bed: price, comfort, weight, we’d say Advanta wins on two fronts: price and comfort. Sure, there’s some beds will offer more in the way of their footprint/weight-reduction, but they certainly can’t compete with that mattress (sorry, we’ve mentioned it again!), nor the price…

Go on then, will my wallet like this…? Yes, it’ll love it – as will the wife! So if you’re on the lookout for a new bedchair this season, which comes at a steal of a price, then head over to anglingdirect.co.uk right now.
