Supplied with two tops, an avon top and a quiver top, you are able to tailor your rod to your preferred fishing style. With the quiver top you are also supplied with three quiver tips of varying rates (1.5oz, 2oz, and 2.5oz respectively). This allows you to fish confidently in a number of different scenarios. The rod in this format is 11ft long and will suit most angling conditions. However, if you do like to achieve a little extra distance in your cast then this rod also comes with 2ft extension piece, which slots in above the detachable handle, transforming this rod into a 13ft outfit which is perfect for the distance angler who likes a little extra length in their rod.
The Rovex Ceratec 3000 is an equally versatile reel, as you might expect having been paired with this exceptionally adaptable rod. Featuring a whole plethora of technologies that wouldn’t look out of place on a reel double its price, this reel is more than a match for the quality of the John Wilson rod. No less than five ball bearings ensure that this reel is an incredibly smooth operator as well as adding additional durability to an already impeccably rugged reel. A front drag reel with a 5.2:1 ratio, the Rovex Ceratec features infinite anti-reverse to ensure solid hooksets. Supplied with a spare aluminium spool, this reel has the capacity to hold 195 yards of 6lb line. This reel is ideal for all types of fishing and is the perfect partner for the John Wilson Avon Quiver Deluxe.
