Shimano Exage BX STC Mini Tele Spinning Rod
If you’re an angler who likes to travel to your fishing spots, do a lot of angling abroad, or you like to have a rod on you and ready to go at all times, the Shimano Exage BX STC Telescopic Spinning Rod is the tool for you. Available in both a standard six section length and a mini 11 section length, this rod is perfect for all spinning applications. Shimano recommends combining these rods with any 500 or 1000 sized Shimano reel for the perfectly balanced outfit that can be used in a number of circumstances. All the rods in this range feature hardwearing and high quality XT60 carbon blanks, which is a lovely performance across the range of uses, and are fitted with easy access hook keepers and Shimano Hardlite Aero Guides. The number of guides on the rod depends on whether the rod is a standard six section rod or an 11 section mini. The six section rods are fitted with six guides, whereas the 11 section rods are fitted with eight guides.
The standard tele spin rod (TEXBXTS27M) is a medium rod of 2.7m in length. This collapses to a travel length of 65cm and weighs 154g. The equivalent mini tele spin rod (TEXBXMTS27M) is also a medium rod of 2.7m. This miniature version collapses to 38cm and weighs only 158g.
There are also medium mini telescopic spin rods available in 2.1m and 2.4m, as well as a medium/light mini telescopic spin rod available in 2.7m.
