Description

Shimano Tribal TX9 Carp Rod

Tribal is Shimano’s dedicated carp fishing rod range, although it is also suitable for specimen fishing too. The TX9 is the figurehead rod in the range and is for the dedicated carp and specimen angler. There are four different rods in the TX9 series, all of which are 12ft in length making them the ultimate versatile carp fishing tools. With test curves of 2.75lb, 3lb, 3.25lb, and an ‘Intensity’ rod with a test curve of 3.5lb+ there is a Tribal TX9 rod for all styles of carp fishing.

The blank itself is constructed from a blend of HPC300 and Biofibre, and features Toray Nano Alloy. HPC stands for high pressure carbon and is the name for the manufacturing process which creates exceptionally strong and durable rod blanks. Pressure is applied to the carbon fibres during the curing process which ensures the even distribute of the resin through the carbon fibre matrix. When this is combined with Biofibre, Shimano’s reinforcement material, and Toray Nano Alloy, you are left with a rod blank with all-round durability without weak points – ensuring performance excellence with each cast, catch, and retrieve. In short, the Tribal TX9 features of the slimmest and most powerful blanks that Shimano has ever created. Offering fantastic carp playing action through the tip and middle section of the rod the Tribal TX9 has an improved casting performance, too.

The guides on this rod are Fuji SiC K-type, which Shimano has customised to match the gun metal grey aesthetics of this rod. The butt ring is an understated 40mm but it performs like a 50mm ring would – without the additional bulk! The handle on the rod is in EVA for enhanced grip during those hard fights.

You’ll notice the 3k carbon weave on the reel seat, as well as the milled isotope holder for low light situations, and this weave effect continues up the rod well into the tip section for a stylish and classic finish.

Shimano Tribal TX9 Carp Rod

The Shimano Tribal TX9 series is a versatile, high-performance rod range crafted specifically for carp and specimen anglers. Boasting four different 12ft rods with test curves of 2.75lb, 3lb, 3.25lb, and the 'Intensity' rod at 3.5lb+, this collection caters to various carp fishing styles and requirements.

At the heart of the TX9 lies a robust and durable rod blank, expertly crafted from a combination of HPC300, Biofibre, and Toray Nano Alloy. HPC (High Pressure Carbon) is a manufacturing technique that applies pressure during the curing process, ensuring an even distribution of resin throughout the carbon fibre matrix. When combined with Biofibre, Shimano's reinforcement material, and Toray Nano Alloy, the result is a rod blank with exceptional all-around durability and no weak points. This fusion of advanced materials delivers one of Shimano's slimmest and most powerful blanks, boasting outstanding carp playing action throughout the tip and middle sections, as well as improved casting performance.

Equipped with customised Fuji SiC K-type guides in a sleek gun metal grey finish, the Tribal TX9 provides smooth line handling and reduced friction for optimal casting distance. The understated 40mm butt ring performs as effectively as a 50mm ring but without the added bulk, ensuring a balanced and comfortable rod for extended sessions on the bank.

The rod's handle features an EVA grip for enhanced control and comfort during those hard-fought battles with trophy carp. The Shimano 3K woven carbon reel seat not only offers a secure hold for your favourite reel but also sports an integrated milled isotope holder for low light situations, making the TX9 a reliable companion in any angling conditions.

The stylish 3K carbon weave continues up the rod and well into the tip section, creating a cohesive and classic appearance that is sure to turn heads on the bank. Each TX9 rod is supplied with a protective cloth bag for safe transport and storage between sessions.

The Shimano Tribal TX9 Carp Rod series offers discerning carp and specimen anglers a versatile and high-performance tool that excels in a variety of fishing situations. With its cutting-edge blank construction, Fuji SiC K-type guides, and ergonomic EVA handle, the TX9 range provides the ultimate combination of strength, sensitivity, and casting capabilities.
