How To Attach Your Hookbait Using Bait Floss – Carp Fishing Quickbite

What is Bait Floss?

For those anglers that are yet to discover the magic of bait floss, it is used by anglers to eliminate the need to pierce baits such as boilie or pellets that you wish to add as a hookbait. Using a baiting needle can lead to the baits such as pop-up boilies losing their buoyancy or crumbling baits such as cork ballers or ultra-hard air-dried baits, however, if you use bait floss, it boasts a flat profile and a waxed finish that helps grip to your choice of hookbait with ease.

How To Attach Your Hookbait Using Bait Floss

Option 1: Blob Bait Floss With a Lighter 

1. Start by trimming 8-10 inches of bait floss 

2. Pass your floss through your rig swivel 

3. Holding both strands together, attach your hookbait 

4. Trim your bait floss leaving roughly 1cm of floss exposed 

5. Carefully blob with a lighter 

You're now ready to fish! 

Option 2: Tie On Your Bait 

1. Start by trimming 8-10 inches of bait floss 

2. Pass your floss through your rig swivel 

3. Create a loop by tying a half hitch knot 

4. Place your bait in the middle of the loop and pull down tight 

5. Tie another half hitch knot to secure your bait in place 

6. Trim the excess bait floss and blob with a lighter to ensure the knot is secure
