Start Fishing with Pop Ups!

Fishing with Pop Ups is arguably one of the most effective carp fishing tactics around and when used correctly can be absolutely devastating on any water!

There are many variants of pop up rigs but here we show you how to tie a simple, yet very effective pop up rig with no complicated knots or components. Perfect for catching your next PB!  

Step 1 - Trim off 40cm of hooklink and strip off a small section of the coating.

Step 2 - Tie a small hair loop in the uncoated section.

Step 3 - Attach your pop up to gauge the length of the hair.

Step 4 - Tie on the hook using a 9 turn knotless knot

Step 5 - Strip back 5mm of coating below the hook.

Step 6 - Pinch a split shot onto the stripped back section to balance the pop-up

Step 7 - Attach the rig to your lead clip swivel using a grinner knot, you are now ready to fish.
