KOTC 2015 - Coarse Winner, Reece Gray - Prize Report

Back in April the first of our King of the Catch 2015 winners, Reece Gray, set off for his prize holiday – a week carp and catfishing on the Ebro in Spain, hosted by Sportsquest. Aged 13, Reece was the youngest of our King of the Catch 2015 winners and he provided the inspiration for us to create a specialist Junior category in our 2016 competition. Throughout the holiday Reece kept us well up to date with all his catches – and he looked liked he had a great time!

In fact, Reece loved his time on the Ebro so much that we have kept it on as the prize for the Junior Category in King of the Catch 2016. Judging by this fishing report from the banks of the river, any junior angler (and their responsible adult) is going to have an incredible trip.

Reece and his Dad, Matt, enjoyed some quality father and son time out on the banks of the Ebro. What can be better than a week spent in the sun, reeling in some of the biggest fish you have ever laid your eyes on? Both Reece and Matt had buckets of PB’s to report, including a huge 135lb cat fish that was longer than Reece himself!

Both said that it was easily the best fishing week of their lives thanks to fish they caught, the time they spent together, and the fun that was had. We’re sure that Matt and Carly, Reece’s mum, are going to have a tough time topping this holiday in years to come – your bog standard holiday just won’t cut it after the experience of a fantastic Sportsquest hosted fishing trip!

We know that the junior angler who wins King of the Catch 2016 is also set for the holiday of a lifetime. The Junior Category is open to anglers aged 14 or under, but don’t worry if you’re a little mature for that! We have plenty of opportunities to win amazing holidays in our Carp, Coarse, Predator, and Sea Fishing Categories too.
