Wednesday Review… Gardner Target Specimen Range

On a recent Bream session in Norfolk I used the Gardner Specimen hooks in size 14 and the companies fluorocarbon in 8lb breaking strain. I managed to catch Bream up to 12lb 14ozs as well as landing three large Carp, which tested the tackle to its limit.

Fluorocarbon Available on 25m spools in a variety of breaking strains. Fluoro is a great material for hooklengths because it's abrasion resistant and almost invisible underwater. I found this fluoro to be nice and supple, meaning it won't sit up off the bottom when fishing over weed and chod.
Specimen Hooks Solid, strong and reliable hooks that won't let you down. They really so stand up to punishment from hard-fighting fish.
Speciskin Available in Silt, Weed, Gravel and Camou colours in 10lb breaking strain. Great for Barbel, Carp, Tench and Bream.
