During his carp fishing session, Phil managed to land a mighty common carp on the 12ft Advanta Carp Fishing Rod with a 3.5lb test curve. Phil shares his comments on the rod.
“They are a rod that can be used for long range fishing but they are also a nice balanced fishing rod. It was a joy to play that [common carp] on that rod.”

The 10ft option was great for Phil when swimming in a tight-knit space where the swims were overgrown.
Expert Angler Opinion
Phil shares that he enjoyed the “Minima style guides as they make the rod a lot lighter in your hand so when you're playing the fish, the rod is a lot lighter”.
Phil then went on to say “the Minima guides make the action of the rod much quicker” which means “you can cast more accurately and cast further with ease.”
