Advanta Saturday- Advanta Discovery CX One Night Stand Bivvy

The Advanta CX bivvy from the Discovery range is designed for those long sessions and one night stays at the bank.

This is a bivvy with a footprint to rival any short stay shelter or brolly system, at an affordable price. Boasting an abundant of features, the CX has a unique flat back design which is ideal when set up in those tight-knit swims. For those anglers that are not concerned about taking mountains of gear with them to the bank and want to stay rather mobile, the CX bivvy is ideal.

The CCX One Night Stand is made from thoroughly decent reinforced polyester (soft-touch, for that premium feel) with a hydrostatic head of 5000mm, which is plenty to keep even the worst storms at bay. To ensure the water tight design, the bivvy includes quality heavy duty zips. When the weather is far from storms and more sunny spells, the bivvy comes with front and rear mozzie vents for full ventilation.

If you are keen on travelling light, this bivvy will have no problem fitting into your motor. It is an incredibly compact shelter weighs just 7.5kg (you’ll barely notice it on the barrow) but, being a two-pole pram-hood design, there’s plenty of space inside for a cosy set up of your bedchair, bivvy table and luggage. The bivvy measures to be 125cm (H) x 240cm (W) x 155cm (D).

The two-pole pram hood is just one example of the ease of constructing this bivvy. You will not be fighting the pole frame to fit together and getting in a muddle as Advanta have made this one simple to put together. It is just the case of removing the bivvy from the carry bag it comes packed in, clip the poles of the frame together and then add in the front peak. Across the bottom of the bivvy you attach the tension straps, add the frame supports that stabilises the structure, before pegging the bivvy to the terrain. Fewer poles means fewer breaks to make when wrapping up and more chance of beating the competition into the swim for landing that fish you have had your eye on.

The door can be set-up as an awning too, with additional storm poles and pegs, which is genius, and we can’t understand how nobody has thought of it before! The lightweight groundsheet is detachable, which we like, for easy assembly and there is also two front Velcro rod supports for when you are setting up the rod support system. What’s more, they come in classic, understated olive green or ultra-cult DPM camo.

Also available is the Discovery CX one night stand wrap (sold separately) which is purposely built to fit the bivvy. This is an excellent addition to your set up when fishing in the colder months as it is designed to reduce the condensation and increasing heat retention within the bivvy. The features of mesh windows, rod supports and pegging points are all includes with the wrap so you won’t lose the CX bivvy’s features you love.
