Angling Trust & Angling Direct Announce Major Partnership in Fight to Protect Waterways for Fish and Fishing

Angling Direct are delighted to announce that they have become the latest Trade Associate partner to the Angling Trust; the National Governing Body for angling.

As part of the agreement, Angling Direct will actively support the vital work of the Angling Trust to protect the waterways and the environment for the benefit of fish and fishing, including increasing its commitment to Angling Trust’s Anglers Against Pollution campaign

Angling Direct has already pledged to support Angling Trust’s initiatives to encourage more people to take up angling by becoming an Exclusive Retail Partner of the Angling Trust’s Get Fishing campaign. Read more on this news here.

The exciting collaboration will deliver major investment into bringing the health and wellbeing benefits of fishing to a wider audience and includes training 80 Angling Direct colleagues to become Angling Trust qualified and licenced angling coaches, empowering them to share their passion for angling whilst offering trusted advice to customers across our stores

The Angling Trust are a not-for-profit organisation, representing anglers, fighting for fish, fishing and the environment. The Angling Trust is recognised by the Government as the National Governing Body for angling in England and partner with Visit Wales and Natural Resources Wales to promote Fishing in Wales. It is a member-based organisation made up of anglers of all disciplines providing a united front to represent, grow and protect our sport.
