Are you serious about your sea fishing? We have the holiday of a lifetime up for grabs in our King of the Catch competition!

You’ll probably have heard by now that King of the Catch 2016 is back and it’s bigger than ever! With over £25,000 worth of prizes on offer for anglers across the disciplines you won’t want to miss out. What’s more, it’s completely free to enter! Simply upload a photo of your best catch and get people voting – the picture with the most votes in each category wins.

First place prize for anglers in our sea fishing category is a sea fishing holiday that dreams are made of.

The trip on offer is a fully hosted Sportquest holiday for two to one of the most fantastic sea fishing locations in the world: Havoysund, northern Norway. This isn’t a holiday location for getting your swimming suit on and heading down to the beach – instead its time to wrap up in your flotation suits and get out on the boats. Best known for its exceptional halibut fishing, although cod is also plentiful, this is a dream location for all passionate sea anglers.

On this fully hosted trip you don’t have to worry about steering the boat, working out your fishing marks, or any other of the tedious technicalities. Instead you’re free to sit back, relax, and focus on the thing you love most – fishing – whilst the Sportsquest team take care of the rest.

The Havoysund lodge is located on a narrow strait that runs from east to west. This ensures that wind direction is never a concern and there are always ample fishing opportunities for you and your friend. So, whether you choose to head east, west, or to take shelter from the surrounding islands, there are countless untapped marks ready to make your acquaintance.

The lodge over looks the marina, so you can get a bird’s eye view of all the action. It’s only a short walk away from a supermarket, post office, bank, and various fast food outlets, so there are ample ‘down time’ options and amenities to keep you entertained when you’re not out on the water.

This trip runs for nine days, between 30th May to 7th June 2017 – with six whole days of exciting fishing awaiting you! Our sea fishing category accepts all saltwater species, so get your picture uploaded and get people voting.
