How to Up Your Boilie Game!

There is no denying boilies are great straight out the bag but on many occasions especially on pressured waters you need to try and make your boilies stand out from the rest. In this weeks AD Blog, we outline three great ways to get the best out of your boilies, which will definitely up your boilie game and hopefully transform your next carp fishing trip.

Boilie Crumb

Boilie crumb is a great way of feeding boilies as it leaks off loads of attraction and can be is a great addition to spod mixes. Not only that, there is loads of irregular boilie slices and crumb fragments which not only keeps fish feeding for longer but more intesively.

To create a boilie crumb, all you need is your boilie of choice and a boilie crusher such as the Ridgemonkey Advanced Boilie Crusher or you can buy it ready made in the form of the Nash Flake.

Boost With Flavours

Adding  a coating to the outside of your boilies will create an enhanced flavour trail that will draw carp from far and wide. Particularly effective in coloured water, this outer layer will dissolve first creating a cloud around your boilies.

To achieve this, add a small amount of your chosen liquid flavour first, before lightly dusting the boilies with your chosen powdered flavour and/or groundbait.

Wash Out Your Boilies

On waters where the carp are incredibly wary, they will not feed on any boilies that are fresh in the water, so by covering your boilies in water, they will fade in colour and resemble a bait that has been on the lake bed for several days. Therefore, carp will treat your feed with less suspicion and feed with more confidence.

All you need to do is cover your boilies in water, as we recommend adding your chose booster liquid, so your boilies are still packed with flavours to draw the fish in, but still have a faded colour.
