With our ‘Get Kids Fishing’ campaign now over, Angling Direct would like to celebrate the amount of new junior anglers that will be able to head to the bankside with their free whip kits.

For those that were not aware, over the last half-term period, Angling Direct aimed to help both fishing enthusiastic parents and parents that themselves haven’t tried fishing before, get their young ones into the great pastime.

This was simply achieved by offering junior anglers (under 16’s) their very own whip kit when visiting any one of our 39 stores. This offer is now over, however, Get Kids Fishing was a huge success, with over 2000 whip kits given away across the country.

Covering the recent half-term holidays, Angling Direct have given 2139 Whip Kits away, making the total free whip kits we have given away now to 14,817, dating back to July 2019, when this event launched.

We hope everyone continues to enjoy fishing and has great fun using their new whip kits, with plenty of catches for many trips to come.

We, here at Angling Direct would like to say a massive thanks to all those who have already sent in their positive stories and pictures of successful family days out on the bank, it is truly wonderful to see. We’d love to hear from everyone who took advantage of the campaign and caught using the supplied whip kits, so don’t hesitate to send in your write-ups and pictures to [email protected].

If for any reason, you were unable to get to an AD Store or if you missed out on this free whip kit promotion, be sure to follow Angling Direct on social media for upcoming offers that will help either you or your child get fishing. Please don’t be disheartened, but make sure you continue to follow us and keep your eyes peeled for the next exciting Get Kids Fishing campaign.
