Akios is new and forward thinking company based in the UK.
It has been developed with some key values and goals to succeed in the global market place where anglers demand new, innovative and durable fishing tackle. Akios, translated from Japanese into English simply means ‘New Beginnings’ or ‘New Life’ and this is exactly what Akios became for it’s creator Simon Bradbury.
Simon wrote… ‘After being made redundant from my former position within the world's largest fishing tackle company, where I was responsible amongst other products for bait casting/multiplier reels. I have over 33 years experience in the fishing tackle industry and therefore have a wealth of knowledge and understanding in this field. As a keen angler myself, I also acknowledge the importance of developing the right products that the angler wants. I have worked with many influential anglers, gaining a wide and varied input from the industry’s top professionals to complete and deliver the precision range of AKIOS reels today.’

Akios Sportcast S-Line
The S-Line series has been especially designed to suit the world of beach and boat fishing that requires absolute precision and finest tolerances to enable to cast, brake and retrieve the lead and baits of the angler. Exceptional quality gives unrivalled value for money.
